BETWEEN MISS UZOMA OKERE AND THE NAVAL RATINGS

Nigeria’s integrity as a country that respects the fundamental human rights of her citizens has once again been brought to question as a result of the brutality meted out to Miss Uzoma Okere by some irresponsible naval ratings and there irresponsive boss. Time and again, we have witnessed unnecessary brute force being used on defenceless citizens by brutes in military uniforms; occasionally we have witnessed death of innocent people as a result of the over zealousness of uniformed personnel. It is sad that this is happening in a country that has practiced democracy consistently for the last nine years. It is disheartening to note that the perpetrators of this heinous crime are people who belong to uniformed services who as a matter of fact should be the most disciplined, the most restrained and the most responsible. Several times the reason for the aggression has always been trivial issues such as not moving fast enough for them to pass or moving to fast as to overtake them, stopping in front of there gates or territory, having an issue including relationship matters with there members etc. It is deeply regrettably that the military authorities have allowed this injustice to continue from year to year. Granted some culprits may have received there punishment in the past but reoccurring of this same ugly situation is a definite proof that the generality of its members are yet uninformed on how to relate to members of the public.

I have it on good authority, that Miss Uzoma Okere; an innocent full fledged lady was using the road about the same time a certain Rear Admiral Arogundade’s convoy was passing by. We all know that the ratings who serve as bodyguards to this Rear Admiral felt slighted that Uzoma did not move fast enough for there god to pass and then they descended on her with full force. I am still struggling to accept the fact that the pride of womanhood was thrown to the dogs on that day as the animals in human skin (apologies to Fela Anikulapo Kuti) debased her by stripping her half naked all to impress a man whom they deify. Shame! While this act of wickedness continued I understand the Rear Admiral, the owner of the Nigerian Navy and the supreme commander of all roads watched in silence, failing to use the authority bestowed on him by virtue of his rank to restrain his irresponsible subordinates. Another crying shame. At the end of it all, they drove on having emerged victorious in a fierce battle on the high seas with a female pirate- Uzoma Okere.  Come to think of it, these are the same people whom hard working Nigerians clothe, provide weapons for and train using tax payer’s money. The only gratitude that they can show is to beat people up, believing that they are untouchables. We all know the case of the innocent young man from Imo state who came back from the United States and was shot dead a day after by trigger happy soldiers claiming that he was a thief. What can we say about the okada rider who was shot in the mouth and killed by a naval officer sometime in 2005? This kind of thing keeps happening from year to year and now even our women and the girl child are now the beneficiaries of this corporate irresponsibility.

I still will like to know the reason why Rear Admiral Arogundade should/must use sirens while moving on the road. If Arogundade must get somewhere in time, he should like the rest of us make conscious effort to leave earlier, we cannot guarantee him that we will pay for his official cars and all peaks of office and still vacate the roads for him . Lagos nay Nigerian roads belong to all of us. No one should consider himself to have exclusive right to use the road at anytime and then molest the weak whilst trying to enforce this kangaroo rights and privileges. I understand that Uzoma was not allowed to testify in the panel that was supposed to hear her case and the report has been forwarded to the presidency. As far as I am concerned, the report is null and void before the peoples’ court and can only be validated when Uzoma is allowed her fundamental rights- free speech. I understand someone whether the very important Admiral or his lieutenants asserted that Uzoma’s father a retired naval officer telephoned the Rear Admiral to apologise on behalf of her daughter. This assertion is the height of stupidity if not idiocy. Uzoma is a full fledged adult. She has her own opinion and so it does and should not count even if her father went and knelt down before the Rear Admiral on behalf of Uzoma.  Other technicalities like the Admiral’s car being several miles away from the point where his men exhibited the wild animal tendencies is being introduced into the entire issue, the question is what right has he to use the sirens? Must we allow this injustice to stand? I refuse. Uzoma I understand is a graduate of one of our universities and so it is right to assume that if Uzoma had chosen to pursue a career in the Navy, there is the likelihood that she will be a superior officer to the naval ratings that molested her. This fact should also come to mind when dealing with civilians. That one chose a career in the military does not make him or her superior to others in any way likewise erudition does make one lord and master over those who are not as privileged educationally. It is all a matter of choice which every one of us if free to make.  These overzealous ratings of the Nigerian navy, an organization that is largely ceremonial than functional should instead of beating and stripping women naked ask to be deployed to the troubled waters of Niger delta to go and take care of the increasing militancy in that region. If the Niger Delta cannot contain their strength, then why would they not volunteer to police the dangerous waters off Somalia? This would certainly save Ship owners the agony presently being experienced there.

I would not take this assault lying down. Just as Nigeria is beginning to be appreciated as a nation that respects the fundamental human right of its citizen, these callous people have once again told the world its all about a big pretence. I refuse to accept this! A slap on Uzoma is a slap on the girl child, a slap on womanhood and a slap on our nation. A slap on Nigeria is a dirty slap on me. To tear off a woman’s cloth is the height of barbarism; unfortunately this is coming from a sector where discipline should be paramount. As Nigerians and the world await the outcome of the panel, let us not for any reason allow this injustice to stand by keeping silent, we must shout abomination from the roof tops until we obtain justice. Do not say it does not concern you, what happened to her could happen to anyone tomorrow if we all refuse to say no. I am dead certain that Arogundade and the ratings must have wives, sisters and possibly daughters whom they would not treat like animals the way they treated Uzoma. I am tired of being looked down upon simply for being a Nigerian, because people assume I am from a jungle instead of a civilized nation. This situation is fuelled by such irresponsible acts as beating up women on the streets, flogging motorists for just one man, an employee of the Nigerian Navy. Some people must be used as examples to what it means to respect people’s dignity. There is no special ability required to join the armed forces and so let no one think he is extraordinary for belonging to the armed forces. We all can be Rear Admirals. I searched for  Arogundade’ name through Google, yahoo, msn and wikipedia search engines and the result kept coming as NO RESULT SEEN. Let us assume this man to be Barrack Obama of the United States, what would his aids do to women? Strip them naked and hang them thereafter. I am calling on the presidency to take drastic action to redress this injustice crying to high heavens. This struggle is my life.

The art of fly catching was just brought to the attention of the American public by Obama’s show of force in the Oval Office when he killed a fly during a news interview.

I have had a note on my desk for several months about doing an article on how to catch a fly, but have put it off as being too trivial. But now with all the attention and concern over the killing of bugs, I believe that it is time everyone found out how to properly catch a fly.

I have been catching flies most of my life and releasing them back into the outdoors. Not because I care about the fly but because I don’t care for the mess they cause when you smash them. Even a fly swatter leaves that bloody mark on the wall!

My dad used to catch flies and use the larva for fish bait. He would place two buckets in the woods, one with scraps of fish remains, tilted at a 45 degree angle and the other up right under the lip of the tilted bucket. As the maggots would get their fill they would climb up the edge of the bucket and drop into the waiting container. Dad would then collect the fish bait, bag them and place them in the freezer for future use. He fished for a living for a while on a lake in Florida, and baited the fish lines with soap, maggots and anything else catfish loved to eat.

While in the service, I learned the art of catching flies. At first I caught them the hard way, out on maneuvers in Germany while breathing hard, I ran through a swarm of flies and inhaled a large number of them. I was coughing up flies for a long time. And then there was all the stories about flies leaving larva in peoples heads and causing sores, gross!

It is hard to believe the things that we become preoccupied with. I have always been impressed with the person who could nail a bug at ten feet with a knife or rubber band, but again there is always the mess to clean up or worse yet the hole in the wall to patch.

So Obama has the right ideal, but he needs to improve his technique in order to avoid upsetting Peta and getting blood on his hands.

What everyone needs to know about flies:

Flies always began their flight by taking off backwards. Knowing this fact makes it easy to catch or kill flies. Fly swatters should have this information printer on the instructions on how to use. If you approach the fly from the back and about two inches high, with your palm open then close your hand about one inch before reaching the fly, it will fly right into your fist every time. You may wonder if you have him, but don’t be tempted to look until you are ready to release him.

I have impressed many with my art of catching flies and they never believe that you have actually caught it until you open your hand and it flies off.

To kill a fly, approach the fly with the swatter from the back and you will get him every time.

Almost everyone has heard the phrase or principle that a “house divided will fall”. The problem is not everyone agrees with it and some could care less if the house (name it) does fall. I said more than a year ago that Obama has the opportunity to bring racial reconciliation to our nation (not that he solves all problems!) and healing internationally (by virtue of his name if nothing else). Don’t hear that I am saying that he will, but that we have a WINDOW- an opportunity in spite of those who spread divisiveness, discord, and outright antagonisms as their daily menu.

Anything is possible!

And within “anything” is a UNITED nation- for however long it lasts, we’ll take it. At least I will.

The new Messiah. His divinity is all about change, hoping for change and changing for the hope – not to mention coolness and hype. So what is the second coming of Jesus doing ? In the name of progressive change the divine one has reappointed 28 former Clinton advisers to his ‘shadow government’, named Tim Geithner an insider from the New York Central Bank and someone who is partially responsible for the current economic mess as Treasury Secretary [bad choice]; and now his holiness has announced that HE and HIS government [not markets you understand], will create 2.5 million jobs. Right out of thin air! Or maybe just by adding holy water ? Note to the Messianic genius – governments cannot create anything. Maybe his divinity can read the history of the 1930s and the failure of the New Deal to re-educate his Harvard trained mind before he wipes out the US economy ‘creating’ 2.5 million eco-jobs with welfare money.

O Believers!

The great one, the new prophet and savior of mankind, truly believes that HE [with divine approval?] will save the US economy and ‘manufacture’ jobs. Listen to what his Harvard trained eminence, with the ancient prophets smiling from above no doubt, had to say about HE and HIS team’s plan to solving the government created economic crisis: “..this plan is big enough to meet the challenges we face. … We’ll be working out the details in the weeks ahead, but it will be a two-year, nationwide effort to jump-start job creation in America and lay the foundation for a strong and growing economy.”

O Believers!

Blessed be the prophet Obama. The new messiah’s plan in his own words [are they divine?], “will mean 2.5 million more jobs by January of 2011.” Saving, creating, – a national effort ! personal and communal meaning ! Maybe we can call this the new ‘Volksgemeinschaft’ or the O’Messiah’s state-individual community agreement ? His divine being has proclaimed that the US will be engaged in a 2 year national socialist effort at inventing jobs – how communal, patriotic and heart warming. Tears well up in sundry eyes, as hearts throb to the messianic beat. But there is a slight problem for the holy messiah and the true believers – governments don’t create jobs.

O Believers!

But the kool-aid drinking media and the frenzied and brainwashed [but they hate Christians remember] O’Messiah cult, too busy to read, to get educated, and too disdainful of human skill and ingenuity, will wildly applaud and believe the Black Jesus and his commandments that ‘we shall create and save 2.5 million jobs!’ That would be the 11th commandment along with the other 10 that no one in today’s highly educated world can name. Markets will no doubt rise, female media correspondents faint, and Oprah and friends, along with the racist Trinity Church in Chicago will scream and dance.

The only problem is that government does not create anything. Government does not have independent revenue sources. Government does not have private capital. Government does not create private markets, private contracts, supply and demand and price points. Government does not expand anything other than state power which crowds out and destroys private capital. By destroying private markets in ‘creating’ welfare programs all a government will do is increase debt and actually increase real unemployment over a longer period of time.

Apparently basic economic knowledge is not a requirement to be President or a messiah.

The O’Messiah is simply imitating the failed policies of FDR in the 1930s – one of the great statists and socialists of all time and much beloved by students, professors, and the media. FDR’s statist deal apparently ‘created’ 5 million jobs in the US during the 1930s. Roads, bridges, stadia, public gardens and parks were all ‘created’ by FDR’s autocratic government. However in 1939 25-35 million men were still unemployed – the same number as in 1932. So over a 7 year period nothing changed. FDR did not create jobs, he did not stimulate the economy. In fact he raised taxes, increased government spending by 3 times, increased the Federal debt by 10 times, and after 7 years of hyper-active government interventionism the result was the same – mass unemployment.

Henry Morgenthau was Treasury Secretary during this period and was the man responsible for writing the cheques. In 1939 he admitted the entire New Deal program was a colossal failure: “We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work. And I have just one interest, and now if I am wrong somebody else can have my job. I want to see this country prosper. I want to see people get a job. I want to see people get enough to eat. We have never made good on our promises. I say after eight years of this administration, we have just as much unemployment as when we started. And enormous debt to boot.”

You will never see such quotes or facts in history books, classrooms or in the media. FDR like the O’Messiah is a saint like figure. FDR ‘saved’ America during the Great Depression. Actually no, he and his policies and that of the preceding Hoover administration caused the Great Depression. The dirty thirties were a government creation not a market failure. High taxes, protectionism, reduced credit, massive regulation and an orgy of spending and governmental interference created and deepened the Depression. Far from saving anything, FDR actually destroyed not only millions of jobs, but millions of ordinary lives.

O Believers!

And for that FDR is a hero.

Now fast forward the new O’Messiah. HE and HIS government, like FDR’s, will create or save 2.5 million jobs. This is rather disappointing since the great socialist FDR created or saved at least 5 million. One would expect more from a divine being. But no matter. Like FDR the Black Jesus will create public works programs targeted at ‘infrastructure’ since according to his holiness only public money can ‘save’ the US’ decrepit infrastructural system. However we have the added bonus of hundreds if not thousands of Greenie programs which will be added. Apparently since the state is the only actor which can build a road, it must de facto be the only actor who can love and nurture Mother Earth. So not only will the adoring and publicly paid legions of O’Messiah supporters be busy repairing roads, bridges and sewers, they will also be engaged in trimming bushes, planting flowers, hugging trees, and tenderly cleaning up rivers and streams. We should expect that the welfare created armies of the new Messiah, during the GlobaloneyWarmed summer months of massive climate change will be dancing naked and gaily in the pristine forests and meadows that they have ‘saved’.

Not only will his holiness ‘save and create 2.5 million jobs’, he will also save Mother Earth!

It is enough to make one drop to his knees, crying and driveling snot and thanking the divine presence for his prescience and massive intelligence in saving us from ourselves! Blessed be the new Jesus !

So let’s see. The Black Jesus will hire 2.5 million good little statists. He will pay them by either raising taxes on others, or by incurring more debt by selling debt instruments to largely foreign buyers [if any remain]; or he will simply print the money. So the 2.5 million ‘created’ jobs are not actually jobs per se but a massive welfare program paid by taxes, future obligations with interest, or through a devalued currency and hence a living standard reduction for all taxpayers. Nice.

Would it be any different if his holiness asked every American to go outside and dig holes for 6 months ? He could then claim to have created 300 million jobs overnight and saved the US economy. He could repay the labor of digging holes, by granting every American a welfare cheque for this ‘work’. This payment would come from sur taxation or debt. Is increasing taxes and debt creating jobs? Does an economy flourish when incentives to produce product and make a profit are diminished? Does real GDP actually grow when you print money or sell debt and hand over the proceeds in welfare payments?

O Believers!

The O’Messiah’s plan is plainly stupid. It is FDR statism. New Deals have always failed. Nazi Germany contrary to popular myth was a bankrupt state in 1939 thanks to nationalist socialist engineering. War in 1939 was inevitable. The Russian empire imploded as ‘New Deals’ destroyed capital, jobs and even morality. Now we have the Black Jesus, whom the media chants is ‘gonna save us’ [so eloquent] proffering the same nonsense. HE will create or save 2.5 million jobs? No he won’t. Like FDR he will destroy millions of jobs and with it millions of lives. And like FDR being an elitist Ivy league snot he won’t care a whit and will use deception and lies to justify big government and the expansion of state power.

The only problem is that government does not create anything. Government does not have independent revenue sources. Government does not have private capital. Government does not create private markets, private contracts, supply and demand and price points. Government does not expand anything other than state power which crowds out and destroys private capital. By destroying private markets in ‘creating’ welfare programs all a government will do is increase debt and actually increase real unemployment over a longer period of time.

Apparently basic economic knowledge is not a requirement to be President or a messiah.

FDR’s statist deal apparently ‘created’ 5 million jobs in the US during the 1930s. Roads, bridges, stadia, public gardens and parks were all ‘created’ by FDR’s autocratic government. However in 1939 25-35 million men were still unemployed – the same number as in 1932. So over a 7 year period nothing changed. FDR did not create jobs, he did not stimulate the economy. In fact he raised taxes, increased government spending by 3 times, increased the Federal debt by 10 times, and after 7 years of hyper-active government interventionism the result was the same – mass unemployment.

Henry Morgenthau was Treasury Secretary during this period and was the man responsible for writing the cheques. In 1939 he admitted the entire New Deal program was a colossal failure: “We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work. And I have just one interest, and now if I am wrong somebody else can have my job. I want to see this country prosper. I want to see people get a job. I want to see people get enough to eat. We have never made good on our promises. I say after eight years of this administration, we have just as much unemployment as when we started. And enormous debt to boot.”

Does an economy flourish when incentives to produce product and make a profit are diminished? Does real GDP actually grow when you print money or sell debt and hand over the proceeds in welfare payments?

An Open Letter To McCain & Obama

As Commander-in-chief and as president of the greatest democracy on this planet, one of you will control and influence the destinies of not only the U.S. citizens but every being on this planet.

Our country needs a change. We need a president with a different mind-set…a president who is awakened and responsive to the planetary needs of the 21st century world. Each president that comes into power has a responsibility to the next generation that will follow this generation.

Can we have peace on this planet so long as we have human suffering? Hundreds of millions of people are starving across the planet while a privileged few live in sinful luxury and unthinkable opulence. We need to bring out the individual and collective consciousness of the human species and spur them to choose between life and death.
Our economic, social and political lives have to be guided by higher spiritual values, using not only our heads but hearts as well. What good is to gain all earthly treasures and pleasures but no peace -it is like having the most luxurious bed to sleep on, but tossing and turning all night long and not getting a wink of sleep. Accumulation of wealth and material comfort is not the cause of human sufferings; it is the lower values of greed and selfishness in the pursuit of wealth, which are to be blamed.

Shift From The Heart

We cannot become better citizens of the world unless we become better individuals at heart based on more spiritual wisdom and believing in the oneness of human race. The goal is to love others as ourselves, unconditionally, to share our joys and sorrows with our neighbors. These are the basic values of unity and peace in the family, in the community, in the nation, in the world and in the oneness of the universe at large.

Globalization Through Heart-Based Life

Social devastation and mass killings in Iraq by vested interests on both sides and silence by the media on both sides, underscore the complicity of us all. It is crime against humanity of catastrophic proportions, where cruelty, violence, mass murder and social upheaval is being perpetuated by both sides. We must help Iraq in its stabilization efforts using the huge oil revenues that they are generating. Similarly we must crack down on radical terrorists, whether they are in USA, Europe, Middle East, Iran, Africa, Russia, India or Ceylon not only with weapons but by spreading goodwill to change their minds and hearts and by reforming them to be the citizens of the world.

Children of the One Universal Spirit are we all men of diverse religions, and no religion, believers and non-believers , says Lord Krishna in Gita.

There is no difference between two human beings, the only difference is the wisdom and purity at the heart level, highly expressed or poorly expressed, radiating with His light or missing of His glow, the difference is only of degrees not of kind. There is no difference between the rich and the powerful or the poor and the weak. The universal spirit is ever present in the depths of every human heart.

I would rather see a candidate who is all hearts, one who is concerned about 24,000 hunger related deaths each day, who can awaken our hearts to universal love, who is willing and able to minimize social inequities and who sees the danger of poverty as weapon of mass destruction and one who has the vision to care and foster love and understanding from the heart, to bring peace and joy to all, by honoring the earth and its people of all lands and cultures and celebrating the unity of human spirit.

Unless and until we get deeply anchored into the heart and its eternal springs of kindness, generosity, truth and unconditional love, there will be no lasting peace on this planet.

‘Follow Your Heart’ should be the slogan of United Nations. This is the only prescription the world needs. Follow the dictates of your heart. Purity resides in your heart; when you get anchored there you become one with love; loving thoughts, loving words and loving deeds. Feel that love, that energy, that vitality, that light which emanates from an awakened heart.
The unforgivable mistakes of the past can be best rectified if the collective wisdom of the modern age is best used to mingle the conflicting ideologies by being flexible and understanding each other from the heart and the understanding the other point of view and developing a sense of empathy and caring for others.

Be The Change

The question is not what the United Nations can do for us but what we, each individual who inhabits this planet can do or should do. Be the change, said Mahatma Gandhi that you want to bring to this world. The world is full of rich philanthropists and generous entrepreneurs, but they only touch 1% of the population with their contributions. What is needed is to create a model at the grass root level in every remote village and every remote outpost where there no access to even clean water facilities, much less hospitals or educational institutions.
As Dalai Lama puts it very empathetically…”to develop scope of ones empathy in such a way that it can extend to any form of life that has the capacity to feel pain and experience happiness.”

What The World Needs

What good are the booming economies across the planet, if we cannot feed the hungry masses and put food on their plates? Big corporation and vested interests behind every government are only interested to take care of their own interests. There are more than one billion people across the third world countries that are slowly starving to death and facing permanent disabilities. The so called progress is destroying the resources and needs of the poor. The need of the day is to educate and feed every child that goes to bed hungry, create housing for 800 million plus homeless across the planet, clean water facilities in each village in every third world country, not just the cities alone, providing permanent security for every elderly person who cannot take care of himself, providing free medical aid and dignified living for those who cannot afford.

We need people like Bill Gates, Warren Buffet & Oprah Winfrey, who are the new faces of Capitalism. But that does not stop us from meeting the challenge of radical terrorism head-on with all the means at our disposal.

We Are One!
We are one,…one as the rainbow colors in the white light, one as in universal oneness of mankind and one with universal divine intelligence. Universal love has no barriers, makes no barriers and knows no barriers of language, race, color or creed. It is delusion of separateness that is the root cause of all evils and misery. We cannot be really happy if our fellow beings are suffering. We are all one, connected together from our hearts with the same infinite Energy. Oneness of mankind is linked from the purity of the heart. We are one with the universe. We need a leader who can mend the broken hearts and build bridges of love and understanding.

Long was a nationalist-populist during a period of history when authoritarian rule was deemed ‘progressive’. So-called intellectuals supported the twin absurdities of corporate fascism and communism. State management was deemed moral, and community feeling and extremist nationalist ideology in which the individual was submerged into the whole was portrayed as necessary, spiritual and mandatory. Long’s program of populist race baiting; ecomomic management and the creation of ‘us versus them’ rhetoric was part of a troubled episode in which freedom and clear thinking were replaced by blind emotion and state created enthusiasm.

(n)Obama exhibits much of the same penchant for simplistic formulae, state organised parades and speeches; and ego-centricity as any tin horn dictator, populist or Roman senatorial demagogue. (n)Obama is just a pale version of what has long gone on in politics – the pandering to the populist mass by promising some set of nonsense to mask what is really at issue – the aggrandizement of state power. Ironicially the very lemmings and automata who support the little man with no experience, and who say that only they and he have the right ideas, programs and beliefs, are the same small people who cry about freedom, rights and individualism. Their statist program of course would result in the exact opposite of what they weep so emotionally about.

(n)Obama’s socialist agenda:

1. Taxes: The little Black messiah would enact the largest tax increase in US history. This would completely wipe out an already weak US economy and cause capital flight from the US, and from the US dollar, to overseas. There would truly be a deep and profound US economic recession.

2. Trade: Given that (n)Obama’s base are union and government workers, trade restrictions and an increase in barriers would be mandatory. Trade intra-NAFTA and with China would be put at risk. The world trading system would suffer reverses from 60 years of GATT-WTO tariff and protectionist reduction. The average consumer will suffer as will the economy.

3. Spending: The US government is going bankrupt. Social security and medicaid and future liabilities [ie future taxes] now stand at $58 Trillion or 4 times the size of the US economy. (n)Obama’s plan of state power accretion would increase this future debt and increase the size of current and future entitlement spending by $ 1 Trillion per year. It is madness. Spending needs to be reduced by 50% and the entitlement programs need to be privatised.

4. The Death Cult: (n)Obama is the most pro abortion member of the Senate. He openly advocates the creation of government sponsored abortion clinics. Obviously the little Black man has never seen a video of a fetus’ development. How is murdering a human consistent with his rhetoric about love, humanity and unity?

5. Eco-fascism: (n)Obama’s plan to hire 50.000 green-workers to go around and trim trees smacks of FDR’s make work programs during the depression which did nothing to solve unemployment but did a lot to destroy private capital. (n)Obama would also raise taxes on carbon usage; engage in carbon trading [ie tax and redistribution]; and ensure that the eco-fanatics stopped any development of sensible carbon or nuclear energy usage. How this helps the ‘average’ man when energy costs will of course only increase, perhaps only (n)Obama knows.

6. The Useless Nations: Like a typical globalist-socialist little (n)Obama is deeply concerned about whether everyone loves the US or himself personally. Knee bending to the marxists at the UN would come very naturally to the little man from Chicago. That the UN is useless, corrupt and wastes $500 million per annum of US money never crosses the knotted little liberal minds. Yet they will weep that $150 million spent on Iraq per annum is too much.

7. Socialisation of the economy: Whole sectors from health care to energy will undergo a massive government re-regulation and imposition. Health care fraud wastes $100 billion per annum in the US – because it is managed by the government. Contrary to cartoonish portrayals that the US health care system is some free market nirvana, the reality is that the US system is 60% directly owned or managed by government with the remaining 40% under European styled regulation. The US needs a real market in health care, not (n)Obama state management.

8. Iraq and the war: (n)Obama is clueless about war, foreign affairs, or why we are in Iraq to start with [hint WMD is not the answer]. Being an appeasing clown (n)Obama has maintained over 4 years that the US must exit Iraq post haste. Leaving Iraq would have resulted in a huge US defeat and in a resurgence in extremist Islamic power and terorism. How that would benefit US strategic interests or that of the region perhaps the little orator can condescend to enumerate to us beknighted peasants. (n)Obama is a pacifist and a globalist. He has no idea about national strategic interests.

Summary:

Nice words don’t make nice leaders. Lenin was famously dynamic at the podium. Mussolini held most of Italy in thrall. Hitler speeches are apogees of stage management and acting to support emotionally galvanizing rhetoric. Huey Long could mobilise populist passions in a direction that was not only dangerous but at times immoral. Be aware of the charismatic leader. (n)Obama’s rhetoric means nothing. Any actor can stutter about hope, change, more hope, unity, some more change and of course love. It is just drivel.
